The Most Effective and Google-Friendly SEO Techniques
Having an online website presence is essential no matter the type of business. The size of your business doesn’t matter. In fact, one of the great benefits of an online Internet property is that it can help to provide a more level playing field when it comes to things like content creation and search engine optimization, (SEO). SEO services are cost-effective options that can help companies compete with larger businesses and to level the online playing field.
Of course, using the right type of SEO techniques is very important. Let’s look at some of the types of SEO techniques that should be used by your SEO and or your video marketing agency. Here are just a few of the best practices for effective SEO.
Create SEO Content for Users
Whether you are creating text blog content or creating videos, you will want to think more about the end-user than the too many to mention SEO elements linked to the online visibility of your digital content. It is a worthy mention; Creating content that your visitors will find useful, the more you will see the trust in your online content from the bot and human both increase. Consider that those who come to your website and leave with a feeling of enlightenment and better understanding, are more likely to return and to also possibly share your content with friends, family, and peers. Google wants every website to deliver the best possible experience for every search query. Naturally, Google prefers when your site has quality content aimed at users rather than search engine algorithms.
The type of content that you create for your website or other social media should be the best quality possible. The same is even more true if you are working with an SEO and or online video marketing agency. There are many different types of content that can be created to help with your search engine rankings. They might be posts and articles on your site, posts to your social media network, and/or video content on YouTube or other video hosts, which you can then share on social media and others.
Plenty of different types of content are possible. However, the content you use should always be geared toward the user. Ask yourself whether the content will help your users or enlighten them in some way. If it does, chances are you are on the right track. However, you will still want to make sure that you know and understand the guidelines that are used, so you do not end up making costly mistakes.
Regardless of what type of content you create, whether it is blog posts or videos, follow the best practices, and continue to learn ways that you can improve.
Avoid Schemes to Get a Better Ranking
Google has algorithms that are used to provide rankings for websites. Sites that are not following the specific guidelines from Google will not rank well, and there may even be actions taken against those sites to remove them from the search engine entirely.
There are certain things that you should not be doing if you are creating online content. First, it is a terrible idea to use content that is generated automatically or that is spun. You need your very own original and authored content. It does not have to be award-winning writing, but it does need to be original and provide some type of use to the reader.
You must also avoid stuffing keywords into the content. In the past, unscrupulous companies would create “content” that was jampacked with keywords as a way to attempt to fool the algorithms and to provide those sites with a higher ranking. Decades ago, that worked. However, Google and other search engine companies caught onto this technique. Today, algorithms are actively looking for articles stuffed with keywords and are punishing those sites accordingly.
You will want to avoid using any sorts of link schemes, adding hidden text or links to your site, and using scraped content, as well. Scraped content is content that is taken from other sites that are more reputable. For example, copying and republishing an article without adding any original content or value would be considered scraping. Those who try to put their name onto that content would also be guilty of plagiarism.
If you are running an affiliate program, you will also want to make sure that you are doing more than just creating short and valueless posts while you try to get people to buy a product. As always, the posts need to provide value.
In fact, this is always the simplest way to know your site is on the right track and that you are not going against the Google guidelines. Make sure that everything you do provides value to your visitors.
Does this all sound like a lot of work? Creating content takes a lot of time and effort, and you might not have that time and effort. Therefore, consider working with a company that can help.
We follow the Google Guidelines
At Verti Group International a.k.a. SEO Seattle®, we work to provide the best possible visibility for our clients. We do this by following the Google Guidelines, i.e. Webmaster Guidelines. Those who do not follow the guidelines could find that their website is not getting the attention it deserves. Even worse, when the site violates the guidelines that Google has set forth, it could mean that Google will take manual action against it. If this happens, some or all of the sites might not show up in the search results, which will hurt the site’s visibility greatly.
